kBEACH has a small and dedicated team of employees working to provide a forum for the most talented and vocal of our 35,000 plus campus community. In addition to making sure our programs run smoothly, and the station stays on top by providing all the current resources. They are also responsible for monitoring the shows, training DJs as well as provide with feedback and suggestions to DJs to improve their shows and help them to develop other skill sets both professional and personal.

Director of Music and Promotions: Stephanie Funk

 

Funk happy to be on the Brochure Stephanie has been with kBEACH for several years and is responsible for all the music and promotional material that comes into the station. She forges new relationships with record labels and promotions companies and also maintains the bonds that have already been made. Stephanie also does weekly charts for the station and also writes music reviews for kBEACH. She also advises the DJs on new music arrivals and helps them to discover new music that is available at the station. Also, she devises rotations for songs through the sophisticted software available at the station when DJs are off-air. Stephanie also works hard to come up with new ideas to get kBEACH out into the community as well as on campus. Phew.. quite a long list of responsibilities there. Assistant Music Director : We are currently looking for Volunteers for this post. Pre Requisite...Have a good taste of music and potential to listen to some for hours together. Also help Ms. Funk with uploading the music into the music database.

 

Production and Technical Director :Vaibhav Shetge

Smiling for a change

Vaibhav is a recent addition to the team. Vaibhav is responsible for smoothly executing the recent technical changes at kBEACH, transforming it from a Disc based station to Automation based Station. Vaibhav also looks at the production needs of the station, from making bumpers to assisting DJs record a pre-recorded show. Apart from taking care of day to day technical needs of the station, Vaibhav maintains and organizes all the equipment and software for long term operation. Vaibhav also trains DJs on functionality of the facilities.

Director of Outreach and Promotions : Aaron Gordezky

Aaron Gordezky has been a part of Kbeach for the last three years with his original music show, Human Dignity for Sale.  Recently he has steped forward as the new Director of Outreach and Promotions.  Aarons job is to be the connection between the school, and Long Beach community at large, with the radio station.  Weather it is bringing in exciting guests to be interviewed or finding fun places to broadcast live from, you can always find Aaron busy trying to create a new image for Kbeach and newer, stronger fan base to go with it.
